Bullpup rifles were a welcome departure from traditional AR models and have become widely used due to their intuitive designs. However, most bullpups had a flawed ejection system for ambidextrous users, leaving brass inside the gear. Kel-Tec has improved upon the original designs by adding a downward ejection method, making the rifle more dependable. ARES and EMG have paired up to bring the officially licensed Kel-Tec bullpup replica to the airsoft world, making a product worthy of praise.

Using the proprietary ARES gearbox similar to their other AEGs, this gun doesn’t lose any functionality, even with a radically different shell and aesthetics. EMG made sure to use high-quality parts in creating the replica, transferring the ambidextrous capabilities to airsoft (where the ejection system doesn’t pose a threat). This mainly shows up in the magazine release and firing mode selector switch systems, giving users more versatility and easier handling.

Surprisingly, the gun features an adjustable hop-up in the magwell, accessible via the included needle tool in the grip. You can use either the short-style 100-round magazine, or a standard 130-round magazine, both coming with the gun. However, this AEG is also compatible with most Tokyo Marui, Matrix, G&P, and other M4 and M16 magazines.

For more accessibility and customization options, the rifle has two Picatinny rails running alongside the barrel, allowing the user to attach their favorite sights and other tools.

The gun has a consistent FPS, powered by a front-loaded LiPo battery in the barrel compartment.

This comes with a federally mandated blaze orange tip.
