With its official licensing from Daniel Defense, the DDM4 Airsoft AEG Rifle looks the part. No effort is spared on its design, with laser engravings and a tough matte black finish ensuring this rifle could pass for the real thing.
The CNC-machining used for its quad-rail handguard ensures smooth operation, with the same quality of construction seen throughout. The rifle has a Version 2 metal gearbox and a handguard system that can fit an M203 grenade launcher without any complicated tweaking.
Its QBS spring system is another standout feature. Rather than forcing you to fiddle around with complex mechanisms, the system lets you switch out springs without disassembling the rifle’s receiver. That efficiency makes the gun a great choice for competitions, as you can tweak and fix issues on the fly without losing tons of time.
The two-piece rail system is easy to manage and offers a large enough mounting surface for any 20mm Picatinny-compatible grips, PEQ boxes, or lights. And with its 150-round magazine, the rifle ensures you’ll get plenty of shots off before you need to reload. Your need for precision is also accounted for, with the rifle offering a choice between fully automatic and semi-auto modes.
As an electric gun, the DDM4 Airsoft AEG Rifle requires a battery. A 7.4-volt Small LiPo is the best choice, with Dean connectors being ideal for wiring the battery to the rifle’s rear. Unfortunately, the rifle doesn’t come with the battery as part of the package, as you only get the gun and a magazine.
It’s also a good idea to pick up a smart charge to prevent the possibility of overcharging the battery. Failure to properly manage the recharging process could lower the battery’s longevity, forcing you to invest more money in the future.
This comes with a federally mandated blaze orange tip.
