Competition-style handguns are optimized for lighter weight and higher accuracy. This WE Tech Hi-Capa 5.1 T-Rex Full Auto Gas Blowback Competition Airsoft Pistol is a perfect example, albeit it’s able to fire in full auto.

Apart from the orange tip at the muzzle, the pistol resembles a competition gun. The muzzle is also threaded, so it accepts mock suppressors. The slide and frame are made of metal and CNC finished. The grip is molded polymer for better handling. 

The competition sights include a front sight with a fiber-optic insert and a low-profile rear notch. A combination like this lets you hit targets at close range and shoot accurately at opponents farther away.

At the bottom of the pistol is a Picatinny rail that allows users to mount flashlights and other accessories. If you’re not impressed by the iron sights, you can always use the included scope mount to attach a red dot sight. That will let you hit targets farther away. The beveled magwell on the pistol grip makes reloading smoother. You’re less likely to miss a quick reload this way.

Like a modern 1911 pistol, this airsoft copy has an ambidextrous safety catch. The beavertail grip safety is also functional, adding another layer of security against accidental discharges.
