When you hear “quad-rail,” you’ll immediately think of Picatinny rails, but the KEYMOD system is also gaining popularity. This Lancer Tactical 10” KEYMOD M4 Carbine comes with the unique mounting system that provides extra flexibility when it comes to mounting attachments.
Instantly, you’ll notice that except for the top handguard, bottom handguard, and upper receiver Picatinny rails, there are keyholes. The side Picatinny rails are also very short to make room for the KEYMOD system.
A blend of both mounting systems allows for greater variety, especially diagonally-attached accessories. Otherwise, this carbine resembles a modern AR-15 or M4 package in most aspects.
Unlike some M4s, however, the two top rails are seamless. This arrangement is mainly for aesthetic reasons, though it gives you complete mounting freedom.
